Yes, counselling sessions could be covered by NDIS depending on your level of cover and funding.
We are unable to offer same day appointments, but we will revisit this depending on the clinical load.

Initial few appointments are in-person with our GP, but subsequent appointments with them can be tele-health. However, we do offer initial and subsequent tele-health consultation with our psychiatrist and ADHD Coach.
A medicare card, any assessment forms that may have been emailed to you (after your initial appointment), your current health summary outline and your current medication list. If you already have a ADHD/ ASD diagnosis , please bring a letter from your psychiatrist/ paediatrician to enable co-prescribing.

Yes, at this stage we provide assessments for adults only. We are looking into the possible future options to provide assessments for children.. However, we do provide ongoing care for children and adolescents.

It will either reduce your appointment duration or appointment will be rescheduled and cancellation fees may apply.
Most patients we consult need ongoing stimulant prescriptions. There are clinical guidelines that we have to follow to legally provide you these scripts. We may be able to assess you via tele appointment but we normally do not entertain scripts only request.
Neurodiversity diagnosis and management is not a straightforward pathway. At MindNest our aim to provide holistic care and hence providing referral without physically assessing a patient is against our motto.
If all the clinical prescribing criteria are met and you are able to provide us with an email address of your chemist, we can certainly send an e-script directly to your pharmacist.

This is case dependent. If you have not had an appointment in the last 4 weeks, unfortunately we cannot entertain this request. We do charge $150 for paperwork for travel, work, school etc. Please visit the ‘Fees’ page for more details.

We need to address any metabolic concerns that may come to light after your tests are reported. Hence we will need to discuss these results and manage them before further neurodiversity assessments can be done. We usually discuss any abnormal findings on the second appointment in an in-person consultation.
Yes, the appointments are paid in full  on the day of your appointment. We collect your card details and you will be billed after your appointment is completed. Medicare will pay to your nominated bank any rebateable amount. Please check our ‘Fees’ page for more details on the rebate amount. However, in case of a cancellation under 48 hours, 50% of the fees will be charged. In the event of a ‘No-Show’, the full amount will be deducted.

Can I use my health management plan to see a psychiatrist/ paediatrician?
Health management plan subsidises up to 5 allied health visits per calendar year. This does not cover the cost of specialist appointments. However, Mental health care plans can subsidise up to 10 psychologists appointments in a calendar year. Our ADHD coach/ counsellor and hypnotherapist is not covered under these health/ mental health plans.
We are set up specifically as a speciality Neurodiversity clinic. Ethically, we cannot do Chronic Disease Management and Mental Health Treatment plans for you at MindNest. This needs to be done by your regular GP. We are happy to suggest allied health services that you may benefit from and are able to correspond directly with your GP to offer holistic health care if required.

Your records are maintained as per ‘privacy and policy acts’ and treated confidentially. We may use de-identified information for learning, teaching and quality assurance purposes. Your information is not released to a third party without your written consent, unless it is legally required to do so. Please refer to ‘Terms and Conditions’ page.
It is a Medico-legal requirement. It also avoids mishaps with documenting in different person’s notes as can happen with similar names.
